The Mississippi Corridor Consortium held a workforce summit with the primary focus being to have stakeholders discuss the workforce challenge. Many of the 130 attendees consisted of community and junior college workforce staff members from throughout the state.
Also present to provide additional insight and information were representatives from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, The Mississippi Partnership and State Board of Community and Junior Colleges. Rounding out the group were economic developers and individuals from the Adult Basic Education and Workforce Investment Act programs in the state.
