The Industrial Outreach Service at Mississippi State University invites you to participate in our Lean Certificate open enrollment classes beginning in February of 2010 through May 2010. The classes will be held on the Mississippi State University Campus in Starkville, MS and also in partnership with the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems Extension (CAVSE) in Canton, MS (see below for schedule). Lean Certificate training will cover a full range of lean concepts such as “Waste” elimination, Pull systems, Flow, Kaizen methods, and Lean implementation management. Training material will be delivered as classroom lecture supplemented by hands on simulation exercises. Participants are expected to demonstrate learning by completing a lean improvement project outside of class, with the support of the instructor. Class size is limited to the first 12 committed reservations. All manufacturing, engineering, management, and support staff, are encouraged to attend. The price per participant is $2400 for the 8 day series. Meals, training books, and handouts will be provided to each participant. Previous classes have filled rapidly with a wide array of manufacturing and industry participants. Please submit your registration form as soon as possible.
